How to Create a Surplus Disposal Request

Please note that Internet explorer is required for creating a surplus order.  Mac users should use Microsoft Remote Desktop to log in to the Active Directory to use Internet Explorer.


Go to or in Internet Explorer. 

On the page, you will see the "I want to" section seen below. Please select "Enter a disposal request".

This link will take you to the same page that the link will take you to.


For login, 

  • Please Note: Do not use the box on the top right corner of the page to login with email and password.
  • Under "OSU Surplus Coordinator", click the login hyperlink, and then use your OSU name.# to enter the site.


Next, please select the corresponding department under which the disposal request should be created and then press continue. 


On the Surplus Property Management System Window, you are able to approve Surplus orders through the "To Do List" tab.  To create a new Surplus order, select the "Disposal Requests" tab on the left hand side. 


On the top, select the "Add/Edit" button to begin creating the Disposal Request. If you wish to check the status of a current Disposal Request, select the search button after entering the corresponding information.


Please fill out as much information as possible, but the required fields are:

  • Building and Room Number
  • Item Type
  • Condition
  • Description
  • Freight (If freight is not selected, they will assume that you will drop the surplus items off at their office)
  • The individual who will be authorizing the order. 


After entering all of the corresponding information, select save to send the Disposal Request off to the Authorizer.
